It was over 40 years ago when Founder, Eric Chan developed our business model for importing bamboo shoots and water chestnuts to the U.S. out of a 2000 square foot warehouse in Los Alamitos, California. In 1992 they established the business as China Pacific Foods, Inc thus establishing the beginning of his legacy. His sons, Ed and Sam Chan purchased and took over the longstanding family business in 2014 from their father with the aim to modernize the import business, encourage a creative company culture, diversify ingredients and produce offerings to restaurants and markets across the U.S.
Ed and Sam positioned C. Pacific to prioritize quality, constant supply, and efficient transactions in its warehouse operations and customer relations. They strove to diversify C. Pacific’s offerings, consequentially opening the market for new products now seen in restaurants and food stores across the nation. C. Pacific carries some of the leading brands of Asian foods and condiments as well as a wide portfolio of ethnic dry goods and supplies to inspire creative menus, support restaurants, and advance the food industry.
